Day 1: Rio de Janeiro
Take a cable car up to Sugarloaf where you can over look beautiful Rio at 395 meters above sea level. Then visit the cathedral, Samba Stadium (Sambodromo), the historical center of Rio, and the Maracana football stadium. Next, take a tour of Corcovado (Hunchback) and view the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. You can take a train through the forest to Corcovado. Don’t miss the beaches in Rio, especially Barra de Tijuca, Sao Conrado, Vidigal, Leblon, and Copacabana.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

Day 3: Buzios
You can get here from Rio on a bus. Take a full-day catamaran tour of the picturesque islands and beaches of Buzios. There is great scuba diving in snorkeling in this tropical location. Buzios has 25 luxurious beaches, including Ossos, Ferradura, and Geriba.
Day 4: Buzios
Relax for a while longer on the beach, before heading to the airport to fly to Iguazu.
Day 5: Brazil Iguazu Falls Tour
The Iguazu National Park is nearly half a million acres of subtropical forest and offers numerous views of the 275 different cascading falls. Take a tour of the spectacular panoramic falls to understand what makes them so stunning.
Day 6: Argentina Iguazu Falls Tour
The falls border both Paraguay and Argentina so why not step into another nation for the day. You can take an ecological train ride to the Devil’s Throat, the largest waterfall in Iguazu Falls, on the Argentinean side. Trails through the 135,000 acre reserve provide a complete view of the falls.
Day 7: Salvador
Take a plane to Salvador where you can take a historical tour through Savador de Bahia. Trace the development of the city from its humble beginnings to its current ranking as the third largest city in Brazil. You can visit the largest complex of colonial architecture in South America at the UNESCO Heritage Site of Pelourinho. Also be sure to visit the church of Sao Francisco and the Farol Da Barra Lighthouse.
Day 8: Salvador
There is so much to see in the second most visited city in Brazil. Take another day to explore this fascinating city. There is no better place to catch a spectacular capoeira flight or to see the country’s African influences. The city’s art scene is thriving with open-air cafes, bars, and artists ateliers.
Day 9: Manaus
Take a flight into the largest city in the Amazon. This interesting city leads into the Amazon Rainforest where you can spot alligators, monkeys, and other whimsical animals.
Day 10: Amazon Tour and Nature Hike
Take a guided tour of the Amazon so your guide can help explain the wide range of flora and fauna you’re bound to see.
Day 11: Amazon Tour and Piranha Fishing
Take a boat trip to where the black waters of the Negro River, the brown waters of the Solimoes River, and the Amazon River all unite. You can see a variety of wildlife, but keep your eyes open wide incase an endangered pink dolphin happens to swim by.
